Reading Together Festival 11/02/17

| February 11, 2017

Reading Together is special. It is a time when you as a parent, grandparent , carer, brother, sister or friend, sit down with your small child, and equipped with a book  travel to places unknown.

During the month of February in County Wexford libraries  invite you to join  special events for pre-school children and their families. There will be workshops, puppet shows, visits from children’s authors and illustrators.  The festival opens on Saturday 4th February in Bunclody Library, when Shine Bright Theatre will introduce you to Princess Chatterbox and her puppet friends.

On Saturday 11th February in New Ross library Shone Shirley Mac Donald, author, will work with children to design characters and create a giant book cover. And on the following Tuesday  morning, the 14th February you are invited to bring your pre-school child, aged 3 and over, to Enniscorthy Library to make some nature themed cards.

In Wexford Library on Saturday 18th join in the fun at the family day and create a giant doodle, make a floor illustration and test your vocal skills against those of puppeteer Julie Rose McCormick. Enniscorthy Library that day promises a Gymboree. The gymboree team also visit Gorey Library on Saturday 25th February. Margaret Anne Suggs, the illustrator from the award winning book, The Pigín of Howth, will talk and draw with children later that day.
