Commenting on the 2016 competition, event organiser Chairman Kilian Duignan said, “We are thrilled to launch a Wexford Has Talent 2016 competition. This was such a hotly contested competition last year, the talent in Wexford at auditions last year was of a phenomenally high standard and we expect that this year lots of those acts have been putting in some extra practice for this year’s competition.

Last year there was the opportunity for audience members to purchase votes for their favorite act, This year we have decided not to include this as part of the format,   for the 2016 competition the winning act will be decided entirely by the independent judges and based on pure talent

The 2016 Wexford Has Talent competition includes a variety of judges and MC’s including the following well known personalities from around the county,  Tony Carty – All-Ireland winning singer/actor with Wexford Light Opera Society and Oyster Lane Theatre Group; George Lawlor who has played the lead role in a number of Wexford Light Opera Society musicals; David “Stoney” Burke – Former Wexford & Kilkenny hurler and Star performer with St. Michael’s Theatre Musical Society and New Ross Pantomime Society; Tom Dempsey – All-Ireland winning Wexford hurler and regular host of many Strictly Come Dancing & Take Me Out shows.
