Oulart look too strong 24/10/15

| October 24, 2015

This is the biggest weekend in Wexford Hurling when the champions of 2015 are crowned with the Co. Final at Wexford Park. The big question is whether or not St. Martin’s can lift their heads following their defeat in the football decider last Saturday.

In Oulart/The Ballagh they face the most successful hurling team in Co. Wexford over the past decade and this young St. Martins side will certainly go into the final as underdogs.

But personally I think St. Martins have everything to play for  and they certainly have a chance of toppling the favourites if they take their opportunities by running at their opponents when they get the chance and then defending strongly when the pressure comes on.

With both teams having good wins in their semi-finals a lot of people believe that we are in for a very good final and let us hope that we do get a good game.

Oulart have a lot of experience in their team with the likes of Keith Rossiter, David Redmond, Garret Sinnott and Rory Jacob and they will certainly be looking to this experience to get them over the line.

On the other hand St.Martins have a lot of young talent and enthusiasm in their side but it will take a really big effort from the likes of Ciaran Lynn, Daithi Hayes, Daithi Waters and Jack O’Connor

I think it will be a close game and it is a contest I would love to see St, Martins winning because I think it would be great for the game of hurling in the county. But I think in the end Oulart will be too strong for them, but here’s hoping that it is a good game,

Meanwhile, let me congratulate the men from St. James on winning the football; Glynn on their success in the intermediate football, Naomh Eanna on winning the intermediate hurling and a big well done too to Billy Walsh who steered our boxers to such great success on the world stage over the past few weeks.
