New name for Wexford Park 04/03/15

Wexford GAA have become the latest county board to surrender the naming rights to their ground after agreeing a deal with business technology company ‘Innovate’.

The new deal will see Innovate become the official IT partner to Wexford GAA and will see Wexford Park renamed ‘Innovate Wexford Park’ for a minimum period of four years.

The county board have said that the exciting development will also open up employment opportunities for young players, especially those studying computer science and related business subjects which are the core of the company’s activities.

A Wexford company with offices also in Dublin, Innovate is described as a company with a ‘defined strategy for nation and international growth and development and an overall vision which clearly matches many of the objectives of Wexford GAA.

The official launch of the partnership took place at The Amber Springs Hotel on Thursday night.

Wexford GAA Chairman Diarmuid Devereux said: ‘The Management Committee is confident that this partnership arrangement will result in significant further development of our use of all forms of information technology to promote Gaelic games within the county. We are delighted to further develop our partnership with a company with the profile and pedigree of Innovate.’
